Introducing myself - I’m Erin, the soloprenuer behind ETC Creative Studio (although I do work with other freelancers as needed bc I can do anything but not everything 😉)

1. My other venture @whatisrorin is where I create leather bags and art 💕 it feels like my heart on display most days.

2. In the last 7 years, I’ve lived in New Orleans (where I’m born + raised), Fredericksburg, Texas, Charleston, SC and now living in Dayton, Ohio. And before you ask - I do not like cold or snow so it’s been an adjustment but summer has been lovely!

3. I am extremely extroverted. Being around people gives me life and inspires me daily so if I force a friendship on you - sorry not sorry 😂

4. I am a firm believer that there is a piece of the pie for everyone and competition is good to fuel us but being cruel or stifling others is never ok. If you need support, help or my resources, I’d be the first to support you however you needed. This is also my toxic trait 🤣 (with a side of perfectionism)

5. In case no. 4 didn’t tell you enough, my human design is a projector.

6. I’ve spent the last year eating super clean (no gums, preservatives or refined sugars) for my health and it’s changed my relationship with food. And ok I may have had some sugars but I mostly avoid 😂 and I’m obsessed with fruit. Watermelon is life.

7. I’m married to the greatest human. Don’t worry we aren’t perfect but that’s what’s so amazing about our marriage.

8. No human children but my fur babies hold my heart.

9. I am a mix of self taught and education in this field. I went to school (LSU - Geaux Tigers!) for apparel design with a minor in business so I’ve worked in AutoCad and Adobe Illustrator and took web design electives early on but I didn’t embrace it until ten years later in 2018/2019. I worked as a brand manager for Keri Kropp (who gave me the confidence and empowered me to do this) and I’ve been freelancing every since 2020 and turned it into a proper business this year!

10. I’m an Aquarius Sun, Leo Rising, and a Pisces Moon. Now what does that tell you?

Erin Tufts Cartier

Erin Tufts Cartier is the artist behind Rorin and creative director of ETC Creative Studio. Originally from New Orleans Louisiana, and a graduate of Louisiana State University’s Textile, Apparel and Merchandising program, Erin envisioned Rorin to foster her passion for designing unique accessories and art rooted in responsible processes. Her creative vision has long been interwoven with a desire to integrate a resourceful approach in how she discovers and repurposes unique materials. In a strive to do more for small businesses, Erin founded ETC Creative studio in 2023 after 4 years freelancing her creative direction, branding and web design skills. ETC is a creative studio led by passion for intentional design and heartfelt visual storytelling with the innate desire to do more for small brands.
